Skvarla, III Governor Acting Director. - Secretary July 8, 2013 Ronnie Autry City Manager City of Dunn PO Box 1065 Dunn, NC 28335 RE: Renewal of the Middle Cape Fear Basin Association Memorandum of Agreement NPDES Permit Modification for In -stream Monitoring NC0078955 — Dunn A.B. Uzzle WTP Harnett County Dear Mr. Autry:. For the past 15 years, members of the Middle Cape Fear Basin Association (MCFBA) have broadened our collective understanding of the Cape Fear basin through water quality monitoring. The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) greatly appreciates the Association's continued support of the monitoring and the time and expertise contributed by its members. By this letter the DWQ confirms the waiver of in -stream monitoring requirements within your individual NPDES permit in exchange for the MCFBA's monitoring of the basin as specified within the renewed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) effective July 1, 2013. The agreement identifies the stations, parameters, and frequency of monitoring required of the association in order to maintain the in -stream monitoring waivers for your individual permits. Influent and effluent monitoring requirements are not affected by this waiver. Should your membership in the association be terminated, you must notify DWQ immediately and the in -stream monitoring requirements in your permit will be reinstated. All other terms and conditions in the original permit remain unchanged and in full effect. These modifications are issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143- 215.1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the US Environmental Protection Agency. 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1617 Location: 512 N.
