Directions to Site: Treatment facility is located at the end of a dirt road off the south side of NCSR 1844 (Susan Tart Road), opposite from Dunn Memorial Hospital 6. Discharge Point(s), List for all discharge points: Latitude: 35° 17' 45" Longitude: 78° 38' 18" Attach a U.S.G.S. map extract and indicate treatment facility site and discharge point on map. U.S.G.S. Topography and relationship to flood plain: Basically flat with some gently sloping areas. 9. Location of nearest dwelling: Approximately 500 feet from entrance gate 10. Describe receiving stream features and pertinent downstream uses: The main stem of the Cape Fear River at this point is used primarily for fish and wildlife propagation, fishing and boating. The City of Fayetteville has a water intake approximately 20 miles downstream. Access to this stretch of the river is limited. PART II - DESCRIPTION OF WASTES AND TREATMENT WORKS 1. a. Other Special Items: None PART IV - EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS According to some of the dataand information provided in the renewal application, the City of Dunn has reduced some of their inflow and infiltration through sewer rehabilitation projects. They are also looking into the possibility of flow equalization facilities at the treatment plant and expanding the capacity of their Eastside pumping system. It is the recommendation of the Fayetteville Regional Office that the subject application for permit renewal be processed in keeping with basinwide strategy.
