Hi Doug, Yes....please process the buffer authorization request based on the following: • 12' wood stairs connecting the lower level boardwalk area to the elevated point of pedestrian access to the proposed Drift on Lake Wylie restaurant • Total "shadow footprint" within the zone 2 buffer area approx. 130 sq.ft. • Direct ground impact of the stairway within the zone 2 buffer area will be limited to foundation connections required for mid -span support columns and the end step landing area at the boardwalk....approx. 30 sq. ft. Call or email me if you have additional questions or need anything else from me related to the authorization request or the proposed compensatory mitigation. Ok, so that answers our questions about the previous impacts, however we still feel that with the steps being over the 6' threshold, if they want to keep the design they have, they will need to mitigate for those as well.
