Good morning, Ms. McCoy —
Our facility, Metallix Refining, currently discharges stormwater under NPDES individual industrial permit number
NCS000583. Our currently permitted industrial outfall does not meet the definition of a stormwater discharge outfall
(SDO). This point (indicated on the attached slide) is simply a point in a drainage ditch that represents the location where
stormwater flows off of Metallix property. No sampling location exists here. We'd like to remove this location as our
sampling location/SDO and update our records and eDMR account to reflect that we have three industrial SDOs — each of
which is located at the terminus of a concrete stormwater conveyance pipe. Please see the attached slide for proposed
sampling/SDO locations.
