SUBJECT: Stream Delineation Appeal
Dear Mr. Wakild:
In accordance with 15A NCAC 02B .0267(5), Solutech, Inc. hereby appeals the stream
delineation performed by the Town of Chapel Hill, Stormwater Management Division, on a
proposed development site known as "The Edge" located within the Town of Chapel Hill. A site
location map is attached.
Solutech personnel and Dr. James Gregory of Watershed Hydrology Consultants LLC,
Wilmington, NC conducted independent stream delineations which were submitted to the Town
of Chapel Hill. Our reports were deemed unacceptable, as the Town of Chapel Hill challenged
three of our scored areas. Therefore, a stream determination by the Division of Water Quality is
needed to resolve these differences.
Please contact me should you have any questions, and Dr. Michael Molley
(mikemolley @hotmail.com, 770 -231- 7492), Senior Environmental Scientist with Solutech, Inc.,
to coordinate the site visit by Division of Water Quality Personnel. We will bring a survey crew
with us on the day your stream determination is planned to better define the areas in question
