The facility listed above is covered under NPDES General Permit NCG500000. NCG500000 expires.
on July 31, 2007. Federal (40 CFR 1.22.41) and North Carolina (15A NCAC 2H.0105(e)) regulations require
that permit renewal. applications must be filed at least 180 days prior to expiration of the current permit. If
you have already mailed a renewal request, you may disregard this notice.
To satisfy this requirement, the Division must receive a renewalrequest postmarked no later than
February 1, 2007. Failure to request renewal by this date may result in a civil penalty assessment. Larger
penalties may be assessed depending upon the delinquency of the request. This renewal notice is being sent
well in advance of the due date so that you have adequate time to prepare your application..

small flow proposed, construction of any type of disposals
system is considered impractical.
PART IV - EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The applicant requests issuance of a GP for the discharge of
noncontact cooling water from fire protection equipment. At the
site, the applicant has two (?) large storage tanks containing
jet fuel. In case of fire, piping was constructed from. outside
the tank area up to the top of the tanks This piping will allow
the company to pp foam into the top of the tanks for the
purpose of smothering the fire. The noncontact cooling water will
be generated from cooling jackets on the diesel pump used to pump
the foa;r. The company plans to routinely run. the diesel engine
(once per month) to check operational condition.
