American Wood Fibers, Inc., (AWF) is submitting the attached Notice of Intent (NOI) for the National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) application for coverage under General Permit NCG210000. AWF
recently purchased the Nature's Earth Pellets NC, LLC facility located at 16900 Aberdeen Road in Laurinburg,
Scotland County, North Carolina, and is operating under a No -Exposure Certification (NCGNE0645). AWF
believes that operations at this facility will not be able to continue to qualify for a No -Exposure Certification.
Enclosed, please find the NPDES NOI application, a check made out to NCDEQ for $100.00, and an Exhibit
showing the facility's location on a portion of a USGS topographic map.
AFW is currently developing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) which will be finalized subsequent to
receipt of the Certificate of Coverage under General Permit NCG210000.
