On August 12, 2019, the Town of Norwood was approved for a State Reserve Loan (SRP) from
the Water Infrastructure Fund in the amount of $4,271,000. The project includes new
headworks, aeration basin weirs, splitter box, clarifiers, sludge pump station, chlorine contact
chamber, and other site improvements. On October 30, 2019 Willis Engineers submitted the
construction drawings and contract documents to DWR for review which were approved by the
State July 1, 2020. The Town received bids on August 20, 2020 with Haren Construction
Company, Inc. being the apparent low bidder. The Division of Water Infrastructure issued an
Authority to Award on January 26, 2021 and Contracts were executed on February 3, 2021.
Haren Construction was issued a Notice to Proceed of April 12, 2021 with a Final Completion
date of October 4, 2022.
