THE PROJECT IS ON A 3.0 ACRE TRACT WITHIN THE TOWN OF SHALLOTTE. THE SITE IS ADJACENT TO SMITH AVENUE (NCSR 1357) APPROXIMATELY 350 FEET NORTHWEST OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH WHITE STREET. THE PROJECT WILL CONSIST OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO MEDICAL FACILITIES, THREE PROFESSIONAL BUILDINGS, ASSOCIATED PARKING, ACCESS DRIVES, DRAINAGE FACILITIES, WATER SERVICES, SEWER SERVICES, AND OTHER UTILITIES. A STORMWATER DETENTION POND WILL BE CONSTRUCTED ON -SITE TO SERVE THE PROJECT. DRAINAGE OF THE SITE WILL PRIMARILY INVOLVE WATER BEING DIRECTED BY CURB AND GUTTER TOWARD CURB INLETS - THE DRAINAGE ON THE NORTHWESTERN CORNER NEAR THE THREE PROFESSIONAL BUILDINGS WILL BY CHANNELED BY MEANS OF INTERCEPTOR SWALES TO A YARD INLET. THE STORM DRAIN SYSTEM WILL TRANSPORT THE WATER TO THE FORBAY OF THE STORMWATER POND. THE STORMWATER DETENTION POND WILL DISCHARGE TO POLEY BRIDGE BRANCH, A TRIBUTAR OF WOODWARD BRANCH_ THE CLASSIFICATION OF WOODWARD BRANCH AT THE POINT OF CONFLUENCE IS C SW HOW. THEREFORE, THE POND IS DESIGNED TO TREAT THE VOLUME OF RUNOFF FROM THE FIRST ONE INCH OF RAINFALL FROM THE POND DRAINAGE BASIN. TERRAIN AND SOILS THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 10 FFET OF RELIEF ON THE SITE FALLING GENERALLY FROM NORTH TO SOUTH BASED ON THE SOIL SURVEY OF BRUNSWICK COUNTY, THE PROMINENT SOILS ON SITE BELONG TO BAYMEADE AND NORFOLK SERIES. BAYMEADE SOILS ARE WILL DRAINED FINE SANDS ON UPLANDS. NORFOLK SOILS ARE WELL -DRAINED LOAMY FINE SANDS AND SANDY CLAY LOAMS ON UPLANDS. C. ADJACENT PROPERTY THE PROJECT AREA IS BOUNDED TO THE NORTH BY A TRACT OWNED BY EDWARD SWEATT, TO THE SOUTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST BY TRACTS OWNED BY ELBA HAWES AND WHITE INVESTMENTS, AND TO THE EAST BY SMITH AVENUE (NCSR 1357). D. EROSION CONTROL MEASURES A LARGE PORTION OF THE DISTURBED AREAS WILL DRAIN TO THE STORMWATER DETENTION POND. ROUGH GRADE PARKING LOT, DRIVES, AND BUILDING AREAS. PREPARE SITE, PLACE FILL MATERIAL, AND PERFORM SOILS TESTING IN COMPLIANCE WITH SOILS REPORT. BRING IN FILL MATERIAL AS REQUIRED FROM A MINE APPROVED BY THE LAND QUALITY SECTION (NCDEHNR) 7. CONSTRUCT THE SWALES AROUND IN THE THREE PROFESSIONAL BUILDINGS.
