Good morning;
Thank you all for moving forward with the close out approval of the Logan Creek site in Jackson County
(2/19/2021).
As a follow up; Kee Surveying (PLS) has completed the installation of aluminum easement caps anchored into
the boulders that mark a portion of the site. A photo of one of the boulders is attached for reference.
Please let me know if you need anything else.

All:
Just a quick update. DMS and DEQ Stewardship met with the landowners of the Logan Creek site on Jan. 20,
2021 and they agreed to aluminum easement caps anchored into the boulders that currently mark a portion
of the site.
A PLS (Kee Surveying) will be completing the work and we are moving forward accordingly. DMS will follow
up with formal documentation for IRT project closure once the work is completed (approx. April 15, 2021).
Based on our meeting, the landowners clearly understand the terms of the conservation easement and
understand DEQ Stewardship's role after IRT closure. They were aware that the boulders marked the site,
know the boulder locations, and understand that no mowing or vegetative cutting is allowed in the
conservation easement.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks

Thanks Todd. We can move #2 (easement caps anchored to the rocks) to the top of the list when discussing
with the landowner.
I will follow up with the IRT once we meet and discuss with them.

Thanks Paul. In general I think all the approaches seem OK, but my preference would be #2 (easement caps
anchored to the rocks).

Subject: [Non-DoD Source] Logan Creek (DMS# 92515) - Proposed Boulder Signage Examples (3)
Andrea, Casey, Erin, Kim and Todd;
As we discussed during our December 3rd 2020 meeting, attached are three (3) proposals/ examples of
signage that could potentially be added to the boulders that mark the conservation easement at the Logan
Creek site in Jackson County.
Please take a look and let us know if you are OK with the three (3) signage proposals/ examples. If not, please
provide any comments and/ or feedback.
Once we hear back from the IRT, we will set up a meeting with DEQ Stewardship and the property landowner
to discuss options to add the required signage. We hope to meet with the landowner to discuss a resolution
in January 2021.
The landowner needs to have options and buy in since it is their property. We would likely present them with
option #1 first and work our way down.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
