SUBJECT: Pretreatment Compliance Inspection Report

Dear Mr. Stephens:
The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted a Pretreatment Compliance inspection of the New
Bern WWTP on 3/30/2021. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance
with the Pretreatment Program. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the
enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled ''Compliance Inspection Report".
The following item needs to be addressed by July 31, 2021:
1. Existing sources of dental dischargers in operation prior to July 14, 2017 were required to submit to the
Control Authority a one-time compliance report by October 12, 2020. The City needs to send the one-time
Compliance reports to all dental dischargers by July 31, 2021.
