In regard to NOV-2021-LV-0194 for Adventure Village WWTP (permit
#NC0086223) we offer the following explanation:
The #1 blower motor which was less than one year old stopped functioning on Saturday
12/12/20. This was not found until the operator made a regular site visit on Monday
12/14/20. The operator replaced the motor with a spare and returned the plant to normal
operation. Both blowers and motors are now operating as normal. I have asked the
Adventure Village staff to inform me when the blower goes silent even on weekends. We
hope to prevent any further occurrences of these types of violations. The Staff at
Adventure Village does a great job replacing any part that is required at the plant. The
motor was warranted and has replaced the spare blower motor. The samples have been
within limits since that time. This is not a reoccurring problem. Please consider the above
and waive any fines that could be imposed.
