Holley Snider Please give a brief project description below and include location information.* We ( Britt Vinson and Barney McLaughlin) are applying for a modification request to the existing major permit for finger extensions, moving existing and installing additional pilings for boat lifts / docks. We, Tammy and Britt Vinson own slip 5 and lot 3 in the 6 lot community. Barney owns slip 10 and lot 2. The primary purpose of this proposed work is to allow wide beam catamarans to dock at our facility in slips 5 & 10. We would also like to add 2 boat lifts in slip 5 to accommodate two boats that we already currently own. In order for this to happen, we are requesting to move 3 existing pilings out to 30 feet on both slips 5 & 10 ( the ones on each end). On slip 5, we would like to add 6 pilings and one 5 ft wide floating pier to accommodate the 2 boat lifts. Additionally on slip 5, we would like to move the other floating pier out 30 feet to the north as well and add one additional piling. This additional piling will remain inside the riparian set- back. our address is 505 Turner St Beaufort NC & the community area is Old Town Creek Harbor Homes, et. al.
