PS – for some reason, when I downloaded the EC plans on the PCN, and then opened them up to check it, the memo
notes I added for each impact pop up sideways…..so when you hover over them or click on them, you have to turn your
head sideways to read them. Just in case it is doing the same thing on your end, I’ve also attached the EC plans above,
as well as the PCN letter for the project.

Hey Lori and Dave,

Hope all is well!

I just sent in a PCN for a road widening and paving project (Justus Road / SR 1137, Watauga County). I wanted to go
ahead and apologize up front, as this is my first roadway permit application, and the materials I received from our
maintenance staff are a little different than I typically get from consultants. But, hopefully I’ve provided what you
need. If not, don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m hopeful the application letter, coupled with the modified erosion
control plans, will provided you most of the information needed - I added a bunch of notes/comments to the EC plans,
to hopefully help explain the location of impacts, and what the impacts were for.

Of particular importance for the 404, there is an Effects Consultation required for historic architecture. I hope I
provided the information needed to determine the USACE action area, but more than happy to get you anything you
need for that.
