Samantha –

Following up on the voice mail message I just left, I was calling to verify that I’ve done what’s required to make sure this
is an official permit modification request to the Corps. DEQ sent us a payment request on 3/18 and once we paid that,
the request was considered official in their system – based on the information sent by email. That kicked in the DEQ
notice to the Corps and my subsequent calls and emails with Andy Williams – who had not received my 3/10 email
below since I failed to include the “2” I his email address. I resent the email to him on 3/19.

So . . . if there is some other process I need to do in order for this to be acknowledged by the Corps as an official permit
modification request, please let me know since the Village has ongoing concerns about public safety and wants to get
the project going. They are also in negotiations on purchasing property to accomplish the project, and are hesitant to
finalize that until permit approvals are in hand.

Give me a call if you have questions about the proposed project or let me know if you would like to meet onsite. My
schedule is pretty flexible.

I am looking forward to working with you on projects in the Triad counties you are now covering – but somewhat
concerned about your apparently having considerably more work added on to what was probably already a full load!

Attached is our approved PCN submittal from 2019 with proposed changes highlighted in yellow (note that there was
already a markup for the Corps requested simplification of open water impacts). I am also attaching our revised
construction plans and a revised narrative.
