Dear Mr. Queen:
Based on review of the documentation received by the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) on May 18, 2007,
and a field visit by DWQ personnel ,on May 18, 2007, it appears your home construction and associated
driveway will not occur in the protected 50-foot Neuse River Riparian Buffers [15A NCAC 2H.0233].
Therefore, a Neuse River Buffer Authorization from DWQ is not required at this time. This letter does not
exempt your from the Neuse River Buffer Rules, so if you change your project and protected Neuse River
Riparian Buffers are impacted, you must notify DWQ and you may be required to send us a new application.
This letter completes the review of the Division of Water Quality under the Neuse River Riparian Buffer
Protection Rules [15A NCAC 2B .0233]. Please call Amy Chapman at (919) 733-1786 if you have any questions
or require copies of our rules or procedural materials.
Sin rely,
lan W. imek, P.E., Director
