Raleigh Water Sewer Maintenance staff discovered an area of
streambank erosion along an unknown tributary (Lat. 35.87102,
Long. -78.70494) of Hare Snipe Creek near 4348 Pickwick Drive. The
repair area is located within a maintained sanitary sewer easement
and the site will be accessed via the existing sanitary sewer
easement. Approximately 120 linear feet of streambank will be
stabilized along the stream. The repair area is located within a 30-
foot wide sanitary sewer easement. The sewer maintenance staff can
access the site area by two different areas:
• The first would be to utilize the sanitary sewer easement between
4340 and 4336 Pickwick drive.
• The second option would be to utilize the sanitary sewer easement
between 6504 and 6508 Dew Drop Court.
The following activities are proposed at this location:
• Erosion control measures and a dry work area will be established
prior to work beginning.
• The eroded area along the stream bank will be filled with
appropriate backfill material.
• The streambank will be stabilized with rock/geotextiles.
• All disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched upon completion of
work.
Please give a couple of dates you are available for a meeting.
