This is a courtesy notification that NCDOT will be refurbishing/repairing existing granite riprap scour pad on
culvert no. 2 on the east side where subsidence has occurred exposing the toe wall.The project site is on the
HWY 94 causeway across Lake Mattamuskeet in Hyde County near Fairfield.The site is located at 35.50087,
-76.21504.The attached drawing is a marked up original submitted in 2013 for a NWP 3 to replace this
culvert.The original drawing has been modified to show the proposed repair.Also attached is email
documentation of NCDOT's coordination with NCWRC Travis Wilson regarding the anadromous fishery
moratorium and the coordination with USFW refuge staff.This repair work will not be held to the moratorium
nor will it require a SUP from the refuge.
