Inspection Summary:
Technical Assistance site visit regarding submittal of Notice of Intent (NOI) application for coverage under the NPDES
NCG060000 Stormwater General Permit. Met with Kimbra Parker, Safety Manager, and Jeff Rummage, Safety & Operations
Specialist. Reviewed information provided on the NOI as well as a request from Central Office staff for additional information
that was missing from the NOI. Additional information needed includes coordinates for the facility and stormwater discharge
outfalls as well as a site diagram, which is in the process of being finalized by a third -party consultant. A Stormwater
Pollution Prevention Plan is also being developed by the consultant. A general overview of the NCG060000 permit conditions
was provided. Site observations were made focusing on identifying stormwater discharge outfalls and the requirements for
providing secondary containment around the facility's process wastewater tanks and multiple totes that are located outside
the buildings. Facility appears to have three distinct stormwater discharge outfalls within drainage areas having associated
industrial activities. After the site observations were concluded, information was provided regarding the potential for
Representative Outfall Status and No Exposure Certification. Once the requested additional information is provided, coverag(
under the NCG060000 Stormwater General Permit can be issued.
