NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE
PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE NUMBER 207 OVER
EAST FORK SAVANNAH CREEK ON EAST FORK ROAD
Bridge No 207 WBS NO 17BP 14 R 63 Jackson County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the above
Public Meeting on October 23, 2012 from 5 30 7 30 p m at the Savannah Volunteer Fire
Department located at 18 Ralph Tatham Road Sylva NC 28779
The purpose of this meeting is for NCDOT representatives to provide
information answer questions and accept written comments regarding this proposed
project Maps denoting the proposed project will be displayed Comments and
information received will be taken into consideration as work on this proposed project
progresses Citizens may drop in anytime during the meeting hours There will not be a
formal presentation
This project proposes to replace Bridge Number 207 on East Fork Road (State
Road 1313) at its crossing of East Fork Savannah Creek with a two lane bridge The
proposed design replaces the existing bridge with a new bridge in the same general
location as the existing bridge Traffic will be maintained during construction by using a
temporary detour bridge located east of the existing bridge
