The project is an —294 acre tract of mostly cleared land located near
Cameron. The tract will be used as a sand and gravel mine by Weeks
Sand Company. The tract will touch the existing Weeks Mine.
There will be 3 stream crossings on the project. The engineer has
chosen to use bottomless culverts to avoid stream impact. There will
be wetland impacts associated with all 3 of the stream crossings. The
proposed wetland impacts will exceed the 0.10 threshold, so
mitigation is expected and I'll plan to obtain an SOA letter to submit
with the PCN.
I delineated the wetlands on this tract and I have attached the
Preliminary JD for the jurisdictional determination on this tract.
