Please give a brief project description below.*
On behalf of our client, the NC Department of Transportation
(NCDOT) — Division 5, Kimley-Horn is submitting this pre -filing
meeting request for the proposed McCrimmon Parkway Grade
Separation, Widening, and Improvements (TIP# U-5747) project in
Wake County, North Carolina. The project corridor is located along
McCrimmon Parkway, beginning just east of Manchester Park Lane
and terminating at Perimeter Park Drive. The area surrounding the
project corridor is urban, with dense residential housing, scattered
commercial development, and sparse undeveloped forested areas.
The proposed project plans to widen McCrimmon Parkway, including
bridges over the North Carolina Railroad (NCRR) and NC 54 (Chapel
Hill Road), and upgrade the Davis Drive intersection and the Church
Street intersection.
As a result of the proposed project, unavoidable wetland, Neuse
River Basin Riparian Buffer, and Jordan Lake Water Supply
Watershed Buffer impacts are anticipated. It is anticipated that the
project will qualify for authorization under NWP 14 (Linear
Transportation Projects) and General WQC #4135. A Riparian Buffer
Authorization is anticipated for riparian buffer encroachments along
the project corridor. No stream impacts are anticipated as a result of
U-5747.
Based on the above information we are requesting a pre -filing
meeting with NCDWR.
Please give a couple of dates you are available for a meeting.
