Box 431 Belmont, North Carolina 28012 Dear Mr. Miller: NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality October 8, 2020 via Email Subject: Non -Discharge Permit Inspection City of Belmont WWTP - Permit No.: WQ0003281 Land Application of Residuals Gaston County Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) staff met with Ms. Tanya Setzer (WWTP-ORC) and recent pre-treatment staff hire, Marisol Ortiz for a compliance inspection / renewal of the residuals permit. The residuals processing, storage and records appeared in compliance at the time of inspection. This permit is currently in the renewal process with our Central Office staff. Questions specific to the renewal may be directed to Vivien.Zhonq(c�ncden.gov. Ms. Setzer enquired about options to address removal of floating mats and woody vegetation that has rooted in the non -mixing zones of the above ground, residuals storage tank. MRO staff suggested speaking with residuals contractors, septage haulers and environmental contractors for options. The MRO would like to thank your staff for their assistance during the inspection.
