Guardrails sections will have 6' grass shoulders18 pavement with 9' ' lanes and variable width grass shoulders. Roadway is mostly normal crownThe purpose of this project is to replace existing bridge No. 329 on SR-2212 over the Buffalo Creek Tributary #3 in Cleveland County with a new bridge. The existing bridge is a 120’ long, 6 span structure with sloping abutments. The proposed bridge will be a 3 span, 135' long cored slab structure with spill-through abutments and will be in the same location as the existing. All storm drainage maintains existing flow patterns. Rip rap is used to diffuse flow where applicable. Summary of methods utilized to minimize impacts:-Fill slopes set at 2:1 to maintain existing drainage patterns -Shoulder slopes maximized at 7’ to promote infiltration from roadway runoff-Rip rap pads provided at drainage outlets to diffuse flow-New design calls for 3 span structure with large center span that spans the creek beyond its banks.
