Subject: George Knox Bulkhead Project
Doug,
After meeting on -site with the applicant this morning and assessing the site, I have a better understanding of the
request for a pipe. The pipe will be placed outside of the wetlands and extend to the new bulkhead in order to maintain
the hydrologic connection to surface waters. The pipe is not intended to drain the wetlands, but to maintain
connectivity. In this instance, the pipe is allowable. All stormwater will still be allowed to diffuse flow across the new
buffer.
I am waiting on a written response from the applicant to remove the project from hold status. I can resume processing
at that time.
