Hey John,
I have a question about the new utility road. You are proposing retaining along the stream for the new road, does that
mean you'll be raising the grade of the existing gravel driveway? The relocation of the impact to the stream isn't a
problem, but I'm concerned that you will be essentially creating an incised channel by installing the retaining wall along

one side of the stream. I know it's a small headwater stream that probably rarely floods, but I expect that's about to
change significantly due to all the new impervious surface going in at the top of the mtn. I've seen this happen on a
significant number of headwaters streams where subdivisions are put in as low density projects and this one is going to
be high density without any stormwater controls right? In my opinion that stream is going to have a lot more flash flows
and needs to be able to access the field adjacent to the stream as much as possible. The old alignment allowed that, it
looks like the new alignment will not.
