Bridge 133 is located on Old Hickory Road (SR 1132). The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing to replace the subject bridge. The purpose of the
project is to replace the functionally obsolete 20’ W x 18’ 6” L timber deck bridge with a 20’ 7" W x 48’ L x 5' 3” H aluminum box culvert unit. Traffic will be detoured onsite utilizing
staged bridge demolition and construction. The existing stable ditches will be maintained. The proposed culvert drainage system inculdes 1 outlet pipe (approx. 6" diameter)
located at the north portion of the culvert project. The drainage outlet discharges 0.10 cfs into a lateral v-ditch which flows north-east into Brush Road.
