However, I would add that the nature of a representative outfall status inspection, and Tier Relief inspection are different from a routine inspection such as the one I conducted recently at your facility. While I do not foresee any issues, I cannot say for sure about the status being approved until those inspections have been performed. Isaiah, It was good to speak with you and Stan today regarding the Watts Regulator Stormwater Permit (NCG030251). As we discussed, DEQ provided Tiered sampling relief and Representative Outfall Status in letter dated 2016 under the prior general permit. In a DEQ inspection letter from September 2020, the 2016 DEQ letter was rescinded because the new general permit had come into effect in 2018. The current general permit will expire May 31, 2021. Based on our discussion, H&H understands that the facility remains in compliance with its industrial stormwater permit but needs to provide an updated request for Tiered sampling relief and Representative Outfall Status. Given that the new general permit will be issued soon, we agreed that the updated request for Tiered sampling relief and Representative Outfall Status will be submitted in June 2021 which will be shortly after the new permit goes into effect. Because the facility operations remain similar to those present in 2016, we anticipate that DEQ will approve our request in June 2021. Let me know if this email accurately summarizes our call. If you have any questions, please let do not hesitate to contact me.
