Subject Property: James Kneisley — Dam Impoundment
Incorrect Permitting Fee
Dear Mr. Kneisley:
On August 24, 2012 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received information for the above referenced
project. The DWQ has determined that the application was incomplete and /or provided inaccurate
information as discussed below.
Additional Information Requested:
® The correct permitting fee to remit for the above project is $570.00 based on the cumulative
stream impact of 231 linear feet noted on page 5 of 11. Check #3356 for $240 is enclosed.
You can resubmit Check 43356 for $240 along with a check for the $330 balance or you may
cut one check for the full amount.
® DWQ is under the impression that the USACE permits dams /impoundments under NW27
(GC3885) and not a NW29 (GC3890). Do you have documentation from the Corps
confirming the NW29?
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. This letter only addresses
the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers.
Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the
DWQ. Please call Ian McMillan at 919- 807 -6364 or me at 919- 807 -6360 or if you have any questions.
