In response to your letter dated July 11, 2012 we have made modifications to our
original plans for the house to be located at 5620 Styron Drive in Oriental, NC. The
modified, detailed map that was requested is included with this letter.
In regards to Additional Information Requested:
1. The access steps have been moved from the waterward side of the house to avoid
Zone 1, as shown on the included map (outlined in purple).
In originally configuring the placement of the structure on the lot, we purposely
located it over the existing impervious driveway, which is approximately 250 sf,
to lessen the impact in Zone 2. The single family residence has been modified to
minimize the impacts in Zone 2 by making a portion of the deck an uncovered
structure with the floor boards to be spaced for water to drain between them. This
area is shown on the included map (outlined in purple). This will now decrease
the additional impervious area to approximately 300 sf.
2. A detailed map showing the dimensions and location of the proposed structure has
been included with this letter.
3. To manage stormwater runoff, there will be a 6" gutter running the entire length
of the roof on the waterward side of the house. This gutter will drain into rain
barrels.
