The 52 acre project area is located west of U.S. Highway 1, south of Thunder Road (NCSR 1102), southwest of the Town of Pinebluff, North Carolina. The proposed impacts include the discharge of fill material into 0.7 acre of wetlands and 2771inear feet of stream channel and the flooding of 0.9 acre of wetlands, 1671inear feet of stream channel and 1.4 acres of open water. After review of your proposal, the North Carolina Division of Water Quality, the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, the North Carolina Division of Water Resources, and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and have submitted comments and recommendations in letters dated August 29, 2006, September 22, 2006, September 25, 2006, and October 4, 2006 respectively. We have enclosed copies of these documents for your reference. The Corps also has the same concerns. These recommendations are due to anticipated adverse environmental impacts. Our administrative process provides you the opportunity to propose a resolution and/or rebut any and all objections before a final decision is made.
