Signature Title of Signing Official Zc— . 1414z--oz o Page 2 of 6 S&H Investment Commercial Proiect Sewer Report The project consists of two commercial buildings (building A — 5200 sf & building B — 14,000 sf) on a 3.08 acre tract. Majority of the usable spaced (approximate 75 % for building A & 70% for building B, respectively) with the remaining space being for office, break area and restrooms. The buildings will be constructed in two phases, though the site work improvements will be completed in one phase. The property is located off of Old Ocean highway (Hwy 17 Bus.), just east of US Highway 17 in Brunswick County, North Carolina. The proposed sewer system will consist of 215 If of 8" pvc (sdr-35) sewer service lines (for both buildings), one individual small grinder lift station (serving both buildings) and 90 If of 1.5" ploy -tubing (sdr-9) sewer forcemain. The proposed sewer system will connect to an existing 10" forcemain on the opposite side of Old Ocean Highway as the project. The existing forcemain is owned and maintained by Brunswick County. The sewer/lift station calculations are based on the following: 1.) Projected flow: Office Facilities: 15 employees x 25gpd/employees = 375 gpd Warehouse: 6 bays x 100 gal/bay = 600 gpd Total average day flow: 375 + 600 = 975 gpd 2.) Peak Flow = 2.5 x 975 gpd = 2438 gpd or 1.70 gpm 3.) The design reflects an 6" diameter PVC pipe to be installed at a minimum grade; of 1.00% Using Manning's equation and roughness coefficient of 0.013, the maximum capacity of the gravity sewer is 251 gpm. Therefore, the conclusion can be made the proposed gravity system (service line) as designed can handle the flows created by this project. 5.) The project tie in point will be the existing 10" dia. PVC forcemain in the R/W of Old Ocean Highway owned and operated by Brunswick County. The anticipated highest pressure at the connection point will be 27 psi (62.50 ft. of head). 6.) The approximate lift for the sewer flow -measured from the bottom of the wetwell (wetwell -84" in depth) to the maximum height (2 ft change in grade) to which the pump will have to overcome (51.50') is 10.00 ft. 7.) The total head equals the manifold pressure at the connection point 62.50 the static lift (10.0 ft.) for a total of 72.50 ft. * No. 2110 8.) The friction loss in the 1.50" dia. forcemain will be based on 1501f (90.0 ft of forcemain + 60.0 ft for loss through various fittings and bends). 9.) The pumps selected are duplex Crane grinder pumps Model OGP-L, 2.0 hp, single phase, 345 RPM operating at 29 gpm flow rate at 85.0 ft. of head in a fiberglass basin.
