That is correct. The intent is for these roads to serve a potential subdivision that will be in the Hickory City limits. They
would be residential streets and be the responsibility of the City after the subdivision is completed.

Hi Shawn,
Please let me know the City of Hickory’s intention for the proposed roadways that are currently submitted for my review
as pertains to the 401 permit (BIMS#20210034/City of Hickory - Startown/Robinson Road Connectors). It is my understanding
they are for a subdivision. Also, it would appear that these roads are to be NC DOT maintained. Please provide guidance
and feel free to forward as needed if someone else can assist in answering the questions.

It was good to talk with you yesterday. My condolences to the City of Hickory and the Greer family for the loss of such a
good man. He was easy to work with, but more importantly he was knowledgeable in his field.
