Please give a brief project description below.
Requesting 0.12 acres of 404-wetland fill for the construction of
townhomes off Frontage Road in Brunswick County. The proposed
townhomes will be located off Highlands Glen Drive and Stirling Drive,
which are existing and an extension of Stirling Drive. The requested
fill is for the construction of the buildings and 10' beyond the side and
rears of the buildings to allow access around the buildings and the
placement of the mechanical units and other items required for the
buildings. This impact has also been minimized by the use of a
retaining wall to reduce the total footprint of the wetland fill.
Compensatory mitigation is proposed with the purchase of 0.30 acres
of credits from the Stone Farm Mitigation Bank. Some maps for this
project are attached. There is an approved JD for this project, SAW-
2017-01371, which expires on Sept. 19, 2022.
