Please give a brief project description below.
Requesting permission to replace an existing 255 foot pressure -
treated seawall that has suffered damage from increased wave/wake
pressure and normal aging. Contractor has proposed placing a new
seawall of same size, constructed of pressure -treated lumber, just in
front of existing seawall. Rip -rap will be added only if required by
Duke Energy guidelines (I have not yet been able to confirm existing
requirements, if any, with Duke Energy).
No excavation will be required, other than driving in support posts.
There is no vegetation along the waterfront. No trees or other
vegetation within 50 feet landward should be disturbed. There is an
existing stone pathway on the property that will provide access to the
work area.
Property is located at 147 Lakeland Circle, Mt. Gilead, NC 27306.
