the Daimler Trucks NA, LLC - Mount Holly Truck Manufacturing Plant (TMP). The stormwater
samples were collected on February 11, 2021. Results from this sampling event show an
exceedance of the following parameter(s) at or above the corresponding benchmark:
• SDO #001 (02-11-2021) - Zinc - 0.180 mg/L (Benchmark 0.126 mg/L)
■ SDO #002 (02-11-2021) -Zinc - 0.260 mg/L (Benchmark 0.126 mg/L)
• SDO #002 (02-11-2021) - Copper- 0.013 mg/L (Benchmark 0.010 mg/L)
Daimler remains in Tier 3 at SDO #001 and SDO #002 for Zinc and Copper. Shield will continue

Subject: Monthly Stormwater Sampling — February 2021
NPDES General Permit No. NCG030000
Daimler Trucks of North America LLC - Mount Holly, North. Carolina
Shield Project No. 1140109-08
Dear Mr. Quarry:
Shield Engineering, Inc. (Shield) successfully collected monthly stormwater samples for Stormwater Discharge
OutfalIs (SDO) 4001 and 4002 at the Mount Holly facility for the month of February 2021. During the February
11 ' sampling event, Shield's field measurements of pl-I were 7.4 for both SDO 8001 and SDO #002. In addition
to collection of samples, Shield performed Qualitative Monitoring at SDO #001 and #002. The QMR for SDO
#002 shows that during the inspection, a light oil sheen was observed in the stormwater discharge. Shield
recommends that the facility inspects the areas that drain into SDO #002 in order to determine the source(s) of oil.
A partially completed discharge monitoring report (DMR) is attached, as well as the analytical results and
Qualitative Monitoring Report Forms. The person designated to act as the permittee by Daimler Trucks — Mount
Holly facility should sign pages 1 and 2 of the DMR_ The signed DMR form should then be mailed to the
regulatory agency regional office at Mooresville, NC. Results from the February 111 sampling event show an
cxcccdance for Zinc at SDO #001 and #002 and an exceedance for Copper at SDO #002.
Daimler remains in Tier 3 at SDO #001 and SDO #002 for Zinc, Copper and TSS. Shicld will continue to perform
monthly sampling per Tier 2 requirements until instructed to decrease sampling frequcncy by Daimler. Shield
greatly appreciates the opportunity to provide environmental services to Daimicr Trucks, North America. If you
have any questions in reference to this document or require further information, please feel free to contact either
