On August 9 2012 I inspected the construction work and reviewed the stormwater records for the Siler Road
project (NCSR 1660) in Macon County Construction includes heavy grading and bridge construction The
stormwater records appear to be maintained in a good and orderly manner
Please ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are
performed as needed to protect State surface waters A copy of the inspection report is attached to this letter

Stormwater has eroded a ditch on the steep slope on the northwest side of the bridge going to the sediment pond Some type of
measures are needed to correct this problem Also the ditch lines between the gas station and Wall Mart need some work to stop
sediment transport
Seed and mulch all bare areas as needed
