Sorry for the confusion. The livestock exclusion fence is at the top of the newly excavated /sloped in some areas. In many other cases it is over 30 feet from the top of bank. In these closer locations we were comfortable with adjusting the fence pattern while it still protected resources and made the fencing pattern make sense. Keep in mind this farmer has zero livestock exclusion fencing now. Our plan is a Huge step toward protecting the resources. Regarding the vegetative plan: the entire project will be planted in the same riparian planting plan found on D 3. This specifies the types and densities of plants. The section that is only bank stabilization will also be planted per the plan on D. Let me know if you have any other questions. I am available by cell today. 828 - 964 -9349. In some cases it even looks like it will be within the newly sloped banks /bank stabilization areas. That is of concern for me. Also, I still can't tell what type of vegetation you are proposing for the restoration area. I know this is not a mitigation site but we have concerns about conducting a stream restoration of this size and then very little vegetation support and potential threat by livestock being so close to the top of bank. I'm sorry, I usually try to go see sites like this because often that helps me with my permit review, but I don't have the time right now so we'll have to work through this via questions /responses. You should receive the hard copies this AM. Ian McMillan has been copied. Below I have added a response to each of the concerns. Thanks for your help in turning this around as quick as possible. 1. We have provided the Long. Profile, Cross sections etc. on the plan now. 2. We have added a "pump around" de- watering method and modified the constriction sequence accordingly. 3. Riparian Vegetation and Livestock Exclusion fencing will occur on the entire project. We have added a vegetation typical cross section.
