REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Sir:
On June 26, 2012, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated June 14, 2012 to fill or
otherwise impact 502 square feet of Zone 1 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffer and 414 square feet of Zone
2 Neuse basin protected riparian buffer for a parking lot. The DWQ has determined that your application and
additional information was incomplete and /,or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will
require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected streams and buffers on the
subject property. This project is on hold and incomplete until we receive the additional information requested
below. If we do not receive the requested information, your project will be formally returned as incomplete. Please
provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please explain what impacts you are requesting as part of this permit application.
2. It appears that this application was submitted to restore the entire buffer that was impacted without prior
approval. If so, a buffer authorization is not required but rather you would need to submit a buffer planting
plan. If not, then you will need to clarify which impacts you wish to remain and why the impact is necessary
and you would also need to submit a buffer planting plan.
Please submit three copies of this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. Please send
additional information to DWQ Central Office, Attn: Karen Higgins, 1650 Mail Service Center, Raleigh,
NC 27699 -1650. If we do not receive this requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this
letter, your project will be withdrawn and you will need to reapply with a new application and a new fee.
