Meeting on Bladen Bluffs Regional Water Treatment
Plant and Distribution System

We are inviting interested parties to attend a meeting on the current status of the Bladen Bluffs
Regional Water Treatment Plant and the future development of a regional distribution system to
serve as a future alternate water supply for the Central Southern Coastal Plain region.
Development of an alternate water source to augment the use of ground water is a concern of
the Division of Water Resources and Environmental Management Commission.
The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. April 14th at the Elizabethtown Town
Hall. The agenda will include a presentation on the status of the Bladen Bluffs Plant and a
discussion on updating the 2006 Water Supply Distribution Plan.
Invitees to this meeting include Bladen County, Bladenboro, Clarkton, Dublin, Elizabethtown,
White Lake, Columbus County, Chadbourn, Lake Waccamaw, Whiteville, Sampson County,
Clinton, Garland, Harrells Water Corporation, Robeson County, St. Pauls and Cumberland
County.
