VHB (formerly Ecological Engineering), on behalf of Stewart Engineering, Inc. (Stewart) and the City of Raleigh,
respectfully requests 404/401 approval for updated impacts associated with this proposed greenway trail project.

The proposed impacts to aquatic resources and Crabtree Creek and Richland Creek riparian buffers were initially
submitted and approved under SAW 2017-00269 and NCDWR Project No. 20191233. A sanitary sewer manhole
that was previously not surveyed required the change of alignment at the end of the project. In addition,
comments received by the NCDOT Hydraulics Unit required the addition of bank stabilization along the project
corridor. No wetland impacts changed as a result of these revisions. Detailed tables of the changes to stream and
buffer impacts are included in Attachment A to this cover letter.
