The Corps has no comments to add at this point. The major concerns of navigability post -
construction were adequately addressed at the field meeting held 16 July 2012.
Be advised that the applicant has officially withdrawn their request for a DA individual
permit and reapplied for a Nationwide 23 (categorical exclusion).
The Corps intends to review the replacement of Bridge No. 176 in Craven County (8 -4488) under
the NW process; and if approved, will issue verification with special conditions addressing
moratoriums, mitigation, demolition etc.
