Guard Modification and
Fort Macon, Carteret
The State of North Carolina has completed its review pursuant
to 15 CFR 930 Subpart C - Consistency for Federal Activities, of
the Coast Guard's request for modifications and maintenance
activities for the shoreline bank stabilization project at Fort
Macon, as described in your document submitted April 15, 1994 and
as discussed during our site meeting held April 21, 1994.
Based upon our review, we have determined that the proposed
work is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management
Program. We hereby authorize the proposed work by amending our
consistency determination for this project (CD90 -06), dated March
30, 1990.
Per your request we agree to waive the 90 day waiting period
as per 15 CFR 930.41(c). If you have any questions regarding our
finding, please contact Steve Benton or Caroline Bellis, Division
of Coastal Management, at (919)733 -2293. Thank you for your
