This letter is in response to your February 10, 2021 NOV-2020-LV-0486 letter to
Tweetsie Railroad attached.
The violation is correct for exceeding daily and monthly average on BOD and TSS limits
We have investigated the issue and found the issues with the BOD and TSS levels were
due to very low flows not able to sustain biological grown to treat waste loadings. The
facility had closings and partial openings due to Covidl9. This resulted in a lack of
biological growth and food sources.
