Project Address : Dan River Game Land Access, 398 Woodpecker
Rd
The land is undeveloped and is currently owned by the state of North
Carolina. The land abuts Dan River directly.
Purpose:
To create a recreational kayak launching ramp on the Dan River for
public use.
Project consists of constructing a gravel and paved access road from
Wood Pecker Road to the River. The project includes a gravel
parking lot and a paved turn around adjacent to the
kayak launch at the River. The kayak launch to the river will include
concrete walkways and stairs to the River along with shoreline
stabilization.
