NOTICE OF A CITIZENS' INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP
FOR A PROPOSED INTERCHANGE RAMP REPLACEMENT PROJECT AT
U S 311 AND N C 68 (EASTCHESTER DRIVE) IN HIGH POINT
TIP Project No U 5169 WBS No 45220 1 1 Guilford County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation ( NCDOT) will hold a
public meeting called a citizens informational workshop on June 12 2012 at the
High Point Regional Association of REALTORS Inc located at 1830
Eastchester Drive in High Point from 4 7 p m
The proposed project involves modifying the interchange at U S 311 and
N C 68 ( Eastchester Drive) in High Point The project will begin north of
Ambassador Court and extend north of Hilton Court, a total distance of about 0 7
miles Proposed ramp improvements will increase the interchanges traffic
carrying capacity and reduce congestion at the U S 311/N C 68 interchange
Right of way acquisition is scheduled to begin in November 2015 and
construction in December 2018 These dates are subject to change
This will be an open house meeting and citizens can attend any time
during the above hours NCDOT representatives will answer questions and
receive comments concerning the project Anyone who would like to comment
can either call or email them until June 30 2012 There will not be a formal
presentation
