In response to your NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NOV-2020-PC-0498) for Lola Seeley Rouse #4 (78-23) dated
December 7, 2020, I submit the following responses to the violations and explanation of the incident and corrective
action.
Violation 1:
Failure to prevent excessive ponding.
Evidently after our last irrigation event there was a small amount of wastewater ponded that subsequently mixed with
the next rain event. There is a low area in the field where the water was ponded. After this issue was brought to my
attention, that same day we pumped the ponded water back into the lagoon. We looked diligently to see if there was
a leak in our irrigation system but found none. We also intend to haul some topsoil into that low area so that water will
not pond there again. We will do that as soon as weather conditions permit.
Violation 2:
Failure of the OIC or a person under their supervision to inspect the land application area as often as necessary and
at no more than at 120 minute intervals.
We were inspecting the application areas but evidently not close enough in that area. We will make certain to check
all areas during irrigation events and not overlook anything. The person operating the system is now the person
initialing the inspections and noting the time of inspection.
We have a good environmental record and l regret that this incident occurred. We will work diligently to see that this
does not occur again. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
