Physical/chemical treatment consist of .. recirculation, settling, and pH adjustment when necessary The settling basins act as.clarifier's. Wastewater enters on one end of either basin and has detention time where the`solids settle out and the water overflows a weir wall on the other end of the basin. When necessary, thewater is drawn down, and the solids are allowed to dewater. The solids are removed and placed back in "the coal pile where it,is incorporated into existing coal and reused. All lab data appeared to be correct as reported on the DMR's for the review period of 11/2005 thru 1/2006. This facility has been shut down for the past year, but should reopen within the month.
