Pretreatment Performance Summary (PPS), Significant Non -Compliance Report (SNCR),
Historical SNC data sheet, and Program Information Sheet and included.

2020 PAR Narrative
General Program Information:
• A copy of our Program Information Sheet is enclosed.
• No new or name changes at any SIUs.
• Pretreatment Program HWA short term monitoring plan was completed for HWA to be
completed in 2021.
• Revised STMP has been submitted approved.
• IWS was conducted in 2019 and approved in 2020.
• SUO, and ERP are current and up to date.
• IUP for Duplin Wine Cellars was modified and became effective May 1, 2018 and will be
valid through June 30, 2022
• IUP for Valley Proteins was renewed with no changes and became effective May 1, 2019
and will be valid through June 30, 2022.
• The Town currently has two active IUPs. Only one SIU is currently actively discharging
to the sanitary sewer system.
IU Information:
• Valley Proteins, Inc. (RH001)
o Discharges come from the rendering of animal carcasses and through the
washing and cleaning of process equipment. No significant changes to the
pretreatment process have been noted since the 2014 PAR.
o SIU did not discharge in 2020.
o Orders and Schedule Information: None
o A to C and Construction Information: None
o Missing Data: Please note there is no industry or POTW monitoring or sampling
for January -December as the industry did not discharge.
• Duplin Wine Cellars (RH002)
o Discharge is produced from grape processing and through washing and cleaning
of equipment, with higher flows generated in the fall months during harvesting.
No changes have been made to the pretreatment processes or systems since the
2014 PAR.
o SIU was not in SNC this PAR year.
o There were no monthly or daily violations during 2020.
o Orders and Schedule Information: None
