Morning Jim – We have been struggling with the County’s stormwater reviewer to issue comments. We are following up
daily and hope to have some closure on this soon. Will let you know as soon as we resubmit to all agencies. We want to
make sure his comments won’t impact our design before getting you an updated package.

1. Please let me know the date that you plan on resubmitting by so that I can grant the extension and so that this
project does not fall off my radar (If you find that you need additional time, you may request another extension).
2. Provided you get the E&SC approval, you may begin clearing, grubbing, & grading of the site without the
stormwater permit. However, you may not place any BUA (Except the construction entrance) without the
stormwater permit.

We are approaching the resubmittal date of 2/20 listed on your 1 round comments for the Arka Heights project so I
wanted to reach out with a status update. We have been on hold waiting for the County to issue comments on our first
submission from 12/17. From a project scheduling standpoint, we address comments from all government agencies at
the same time to prevent additional coordination and re-work on the back end. I’ve followed up with the County for a
status update and should hear back soon. Can you provide an extension on the 2/20 date if I keep you in the loop timing
wise moving forward?

Also, ownership would like to explore an early grading permit for this project. Would your department have an issue
with this? NCDEQ had minor comments after our first review. Attached for reference.
